These custom engine baffles are printed with PET-CF. It is a blend of PET and carbon fiber that boosts hardness and mechanical strength with minimal warping and shrinkage. Featuring excellent heat resistance, dimensional stability, and low moisture absorption, high-temperature and humid environments. It has a temperature resistance up to 170 degrees Celsius which far exceeds the average temperature inside a cowl with proper ventilation and exhaust.
After ordering, we will contact you to provide some images with a ruler (preferably metric) in the frame. Please refer to the examples in the product images for reference. We will also need at least one top-down view showing the depth of the front of your cowl, to the front of the cylinder head that is farthest away. We will also need the make/model/size of your aircraft.
Please use care when cutting the baffles to fit. They are made to be a little oversized in height. This material is infused with carbon fiber, and the dust is dangerous to breathe. The material cuts easily with a carbon cut off wheel and can be sanded at a low speed (to avoid high heat) with an aggressive sanding paper/wheel. The use of a vacuum or respirator is highly recommended.
